6.6/10

I had a mixed experience at The Westin Minneapolis. While the historical charm of the building and the spacious suite layout were highlights, there were some drawbacks like the outdated towels and less-than-heavenly bed. Staff members like Thomas really made dining enjoyable with his really good service, but they were often stretched thin. Overall, it was decent, but the inconsistencies something to consider.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious, but the outdated bed left an indent that affected my comfort. The towels were also quite worn, which was disappointing for a Westin.
Service
7.0
I experienced some great service from Thomas in the restaurant, who was friendly and attentive. However, the overall restaurant experience felt chaotic at times with disorganized service.
Location
6.0
The hotel is conveniently situated near US Bank Stadium, making it easy to explore the area. However, construction nearby was a hassle with some streets blocked off.
Dining
7.0
Dining in the lobby was pleasant, yet the service was often slow and the meals didn't always meet expectations. Thomas's friendly demeanor made it worthwhile, but the experience could improve.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel features a unique stainless steel pool, which I enjoyed. However, the cleanliness and maintenance of some amenities could use an upgrade.

6.6/10

I found The Westin Minneapolis to have an impressive historic charm, especially with its stunning Art Deco lobby and original bank vault turned wine bar. However, my experience started to falter once I reached my guest room. While spacious, the cleanliness and attention to detail fell short, affecting my overall satisfaction.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and well-furnished, but the bed was poorly made and there were cleanliness issues like dust on surfaces. I also struggled with inadequate electrical outlets for my devices.
Service
6.0
The staff during check-in did not exude a welcoming vibe, which was disappointing. Despite that, some staff members later on were friendly and made my stay more pleasant.
Location
8.0
I appreciated the hotel's location, close to numerous attractions like Target Field and accessible public transport. It made exploring Minneapolis quite convenient.
Dining

I had a positive dining experience at the Bank Restaurant, enjoying the lively atmosphere. Though, I did find some meals to be overpriced for what they offered.
Facilities

The pool and gym were standout features, providing a great way to unwind. Still, I encountered some maintenance issues in my bathroom that need attention.

I had an enjoyable stay at The Westin Minneapolis, especially with the lovely historic charm and spacious room layout. The service was a highlight, with staff going above and beyond to make things special. However, my experience was somewhat marred by a mix-up with my room that required changing, and I did encounter some staffing shortages that affected overall service timing.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed and a clean, updated bathroom suite. However, there was a minor issue with a leaking tap, which maintenance might need to address.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially during check-in. Unfortunately, there seemed to be some short staffing, which led to delays in service at times, especially with room requests.
Location
8.0
The hotel’s location was excellent, close to downtown attractions like Target Field, but I did find that many nearby restaurants were closed on the weekend. This made finding food somewhat inconvenient.
Dining
6.0
While the dining experience could have been better, the meals I had were enjoyable, but a bit pricey. That said, the service in the dining area was less than engaging on occasion.
Facilities
7.0
I appreciated the unique features of the hotel, especially the stainless steel pool, which was a hit. Overall, the amenities offered a decent experience, but I did miss having a microwave in my room.

6.0/10

My stay at The Westin Minneapolis was a mix of positives and negatives. While the historical charm of the building and the excellent service from the staff stood out, I found the room to be somewhat underwhelming compared to other Westin locations. The unique lobby design was visually impressive, but the restaurant's average food quality and high prices left something to be desired. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was clean and spacious, although not as impressive as I had hoped for. It lacked a microwave, and I had paid extra for what was advertised as a 'city view,' which didn't quite live up to expectations.
Service
9.0
The service was really good, with staff members like Mike and Dan providing personalized tips and helping to resolve issues promptly. Their friendliness made my experience more enjoyable.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to the skywalk and many dining options nearby. It was also conveniently close to attractions like US Bank Stadium.
Dining
5.0
Dining at the hotel was a mixed bag. While I was pleased with the service from Thomas, the food was overpriced considering the average taste, making me wish I had chosen a local restaurant instead.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel itself has beautiful architecture, and I loved the unique stainless steel pool. However, some facilities could use upgrading and better maintenance to meet the high expectations set by the hotel's branding.

I had a great stay at The Westin Minneapolis, largely thanks to the excellent staff and the comfortable rooms. The location is perfect for exploring downtown, but some logistical issues, like limited elevators, created minor frustrations during my stay. Overall, I enjoyed the cozy ambiance and the unique historical charm of the building.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and spotlessly clean, offering a comfortable bed and upscale amenities. However, the window faced an interior wall, which was a disappointment.
Service
9.0
The staff were incredibly friendly, especially Jennifer and Andrew at the front desk. They went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcomed. However, I did experience some slow service at the bar, which took away from the overall experience.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, making it easy to explore downtown and access the Skyway. It’s close to Target Field and other attractions, which was a highlight for me.
Dining
6.0
While I enjoyed some meals, the restaurant experience was a bit chaotic, with wrong orders and slow service at times. I felt a bit rushed during breakfast, which detracted from the overall dining experience.
Facilities
7.0
The stainless steel pool was a fun and clean feature of the hotel, and the gym was well-equipped. However, I was disappointed with the slow water heating in the shower, which made morning routines a bit annoying.
